Another Great Way to Get Discount Ski Tickets at Tahoe Resorts
Saturday, March 12, 2011
Through the newspaper, I just found out about a great collaboration between the Tahoe Fund and local ski resorts. The Tahoe Fund is a non profit which helps support the building of trails and parks around the Lake Tahoe / Truckee region. Along with ski areas such as Squaw Valley, Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowl, Tahoe Donner, Homewood, Kirkwood, and Heavenly, the Tahoe Fund created a program called "Plates for Powder." The premise is simple, California or Nevada residents can purchase a "Lake Tahoe" license plate and the ski resorts will reward you with one day of free skiing.
