This foreclosure opportunity, just a couple blocks from Donner Lake, hit the market today and struck me as a great deal.  It is a good house which has been well maintained (especially for a foreclosure) and has a nice layout.  It's a short walk to the public piers on the north side of the lake and has filtered views.  The property was offered for sale, as a short sale, for a good part of the spring and summer of 2010 at about $450k and had a few offers to work with (I'm not sure why the bank declined those offers and then listed it for less money?  Banks are really puzzling sometimes).  Also, it last sold, in 2006, for $655k.
