Have I mentioned that I'm anxious for ski season to start?!!!!  I'm praying for snow multiple times a day and enjoying the feeling of cold air.  Though Mother Nature is taking her sweet time getting things started (as usual), most of the Lake Tahoe ski areas are ready for the new season. 

After a record number of skier visits during the 2009-10 season, many of the Lake Tahoe/Truckee ski resorts are making upgrades to their mountains for the enjoyment of visitors during the upcoming winter.  Ranging from increased snow making, to safety upgrades for ski schools (gps and magnetic chairs!!), to heli skiing (yes, HELI SKIING!!!!), a recent article in the Sierra Sun highlighted what each mountain is up to, click here for the details.
