They say April showers bring May flowers.  But what does April powder bring?  Happy skiers, that's what!!!  In classic fashion, the Lake Tahoe and Truckee ski areas are seeing a winter storm at the end of April.  Forecasts are calling for 1 to 2 feet of new snow overnight and scattered snow showers through the rest of the week.  If you already put your ski equipment away, get it back out now!!  Squaw Valley is still open for daily operations (through May 9th) and Alpine Meadows is open for weekend operations (Fri-Sun, through May 16th).
