Living in Truckee and Lake Tahoe - Foam Fest and Pink Party
One of my favorite things about Truckee and Lake Tahoe is that the locals have an incredible knack for combining good times and fundraising for good causes. Even during our "off season" there are great turn outs for the events.
I apologize for not posting anything in advance of the 6th annual Pink Party which was held last week. Unfortunately I was unable to attend this year, but I know the party is traditionally a great fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research. My understanding is there were over 250 people in attendance, all clad in amusing pink costumes. Over $15,000 was raised.
Also, coming up on Nov. 13th, is the 21st Annual Foam Fest. This is a great event which is hosted by Disable Sports USA Far West. In the recent past, the event had been held at the Tahoe Biltmore, but this year has been moved to the Truckee Community Recreation Center.
