My entire life I've heard rumor and inuendo about the possibilities of combining the 2 flagship ski areas of the Lake Tahoe region, Squaw Vally and Alpine Meadows.  Finally, after intensified recent rumors, the combination is a reality.  Squaw and Alpine officially announced a partnership this morning which will combine the mountain operations for the 2 resorts. 

What does it mean to you?  If you have a Squaw Valley season pass, you can now ski at Alpine Meadows as well.  If you have an Alpine Meadows season pass, you can now ski at Squaw as well.  Don't have a pass, yet?  Well, you're decision just got easier.  You can now purchase a "Tahoe Super Pass", which gives you access to both mountains, for as little as $439 for adults.
