The Tahoe Donner real estate market continues to be very balanced, with 9 homes being listed for sale and 7 homes going into contract last week.  Normally this wouldn't be remarkable, but at this time of year it is out of the ordinary.  June is a month where we normally see a dramatic increase in the inventory of homes for sale.  Why?  Because many sellers want to get their home on the market for the busy summer season, and many Truckee visitors (buyers) aren't yet coming to the area because they are busy getting their kids through the end of the school year and they are waiting for the true summer weather to hit.  This year, demand has stayed strong through May and June.  I believe this is mostly due to a renewed confidence in the real estate market and the economy, but the frequent nice weather certainly hasn't hurt!!
