Infrastructure and facilities are an extremely important part of any community.  Truckee, and and other communities around Lake Tahoe, have amazing natural resources, but sometimes our infrastructure and facilities can be taken for granted.  The Truckee Donner Rec and Park District is currently pursuing a potential bond measure which would go toward developing a performing arts center, an aquatic center, and further developing the connectivity of the trail systems throught our community.  Currently there are strong arguments both for and against the measure, but what the community needs is input from more people.  Here is a a link to an article from todays Sierra Sun, which highlights the proposal:  $20 million Bond Measure for Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District.
