Though I've enjoyed the sunshine, I'm ecstatic that winter is finally making a return to the Truckee/Tahoe area.  This is a great time to remind all you powder hounds, who will be hitting the slopes at Squaw, Northstar, Alpine, Sugar Bowl, et al, about the place to find the best local weather info.  If you're still in the habit of monitoring the news and The Weather Channel, you're living in the past.  Check out tahoeweatherdiscussion.com daily to learn about details of the incoming storm, trends which will effect the weekend and coming weeks, and generally to be as prepared as possible to get out and enjoy EVERY powder day!!

Not only am I excited to ski some powder again (it feels like it's been quite a while), but I also always have my eye on the snowpack and how it will effect our summer recreation.  Even if you don't ski, you should still be excited about snow since it's what fills our lakes and streams.
